Common questions

Listening does not work.

It needs a phone that can recognise Arabic without the internet. On Android you may first need to download Arabic speech recognition in Settings → System → Languages → Speech. Where it isn’t available, the prayer carries on when you tap Next.

Do I need an account?

No. An account only lets you back up your history.

Prayer times look wrong.

Check that the location is right in the app’s Settings.

Reminders don’t arrive.

Make sure notifications are allowed for PrayArabic in your phone’s settings, and that reminders are on in the app.

The qibla direction moves or looks off.

Hold the phone flat, away from metal and magnets, and move it in a figure 8 to calibrate the compass.

I found a mistake in a text or pronunciation.
